I am totally new to I/O s. Is there a good PDF repair manual on the aq125 for engine removal.

If just the bearing is in need of replacement you do not need to remove the engine. Remove the socket head bolts and the stainless slug from the helmet. Flip the helmet, remove the worm clamps. Remove the shift linkage cover, 2 hex nuts & 2 socket head bolts. lift the gear housing up and turn it sideways then pull it off the shaft. There is a seal that is easy to pull out, a snap ring and with a slide hammer threaded into the shaft which will also remove the bearing.
Get a genuine Volvo AQ service manual.

There is no gimbal bearing. There is a PDS shaft and that has one or 2 bearings

Get a factory manual from volvo penta

The shaft is bored and threaded, I cannot remember which thread it is either Metric or Fractional. Just hope that the shaft is not rusted into the flex coupling on the flywheel.
