Got a split weekend with Trucks in Texas and Cup/X-Men at Michigan. Weather at Texas for tomorrow's race looks OK, But Michigan is another story. Things are OK until Sunday morning and the rest of the day. Can a Cup race skate rain two weekends in a row?

News and Notes
  • Last week I mentioned Nascar possibly changing over to hybrid race cars. Ford says not if, but when and Chevy and Toyota agree - https://www.jayski.com/2019/06/03/na...ybrid-engines/
  • A P51 will be racing at Michigan, probably the best looking car on the track for the 75th anniversary of D-Day; P51mustang.png
  • M&Ms is having a M&M's Glampground at Kentucky and Bristol. Shouldn't it be a GlaM&Mpground ? Look at the at the size of the crowd in the stands in the Kentucky artist rendering. How will this fit in the Bristol infield? mms.png
  • TV ratings - Pocono got a 1.4, off from 1.6 last year.

iBoats Fantasy Live
  • Smokin'! won the iFL pocono race last weekend. 'speck gets a new :first: for wheel chock duty. Congrats, aspeck.
  • Justkiddin' 5 is still the league leader.
  • iFL pole pick locks at Noon on Saturday.

Good luck.

Humpty.

Forgot to put this in the 1st post. Trucks are doing a sort of Dash4Cash called Triple Truck Challenge this week at Texas and the two races after. It's on a sliding scale and if one driver wins all three races, he will pocket 500 grand.

Ross Chastain has been running in all 3 series and he just declared for Truck points. Only drivers running for Truck points are eligible.

And the final practice was led by Harvick. The rest of the ten fastest - The Whining Twerp, Bowyer, Suarez, Almirola, Busch1, Jones, Johnson, Truex and Bowman.

Pick your pole sitter by Noon Eastern. BTW - This is an impound race, so the pre-qualifying inspection serves as the pre-race inspection.

Less than 30 minutes to lake your pole pick if you've been waiting for the last minutes.

Truex failed 1st two passes through inspection, so he's losing a crewman and if he doesn't make it the 3rd time, he won't be making a qualifying lap.

After The Biff won the Truck race last night, this was tweeted;

Damn I’m a genius.

This morning, a Fox tweet;

@NASCARONFOX
"There's a lot of planning that's gotta take place ... Trying to get a fifth truck [in Iowa]."- Kyle Busch on trying to go for another Biffle bonus

A short while ago, this tweet;

Bob Pockrass‏Verified account @bobpockrass
According to NASCAR, Biffle is ineligible for the bonus at Iowa because he has missed the pre-entry deadline of June 4. He is eligible for Gateway.

Some genius! :lol:

Hmmmm? Are you watching the same race as I am?

Paul won the first stage and has led 57 of the 66 laps run so far!

With drippy skies, the iFL race roster has been moved up to 1:55.

Wonder if that is a showing of optimism?
