Sun Tracker Party Barge 22 - Mercruiser 3.0L won't fire

We are at our wits end. I need helping figuring out why Powerwire for coil is grounded. Where does that purple wire go?

Here is everyhting else i tried:

1. Replaced - Rotator cap, button, sparkplug wires and coil​

2. Jumpered out engagement switch and cutout switch​

3. Checked safety switch and line​

4. Isolated tack ometer​

5. Put a fire light on it - it fired a couple of times when i isolated the tack​

Ayuh,......... Welcome Aboard,...... The purple wire, is the ignition circuit,... power from the key switch,....

Thank you! We tracked that down, still no luck. Every once in a while it will start and run for a few but not consistent. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!
