Removing VRO oiling system

I have a 1984 evinrude 70 hp that I would like to bypass the VRO oiling system. Can anyone tell me what fuel pump I could use to accomplish this. Thank

Unless the VRO pump has completely failed use it as a pre mix pump. Remove the oil line from the tank to the motor. plug the oil fitting at the motor remove the tank wires. Then unplug the oil pump and run pre-mix in your motor. If the pump is bad use the pump from an 83 model.

I assume you mean a Fuel Pump from 83? 1984 was the first year for a VRO pump

The 84 models did not show a VRO pump on the 70 HP.------------What motor have you got.-----Or possibly a newer powerhead installed ?----Serial # on powerhead the same as transom bracket ?---Any pictures ??
