I can't figure out how to get the pump off of the bracket which is cracked at the bottom!

Do I really have to remove the pulley?
The rear bolt came out but there seems to be a sleeve that won't budge so I can't remove the pulley even if I got the front bolt out! Whats up with that?
The front bolt is barely barely blocked by the pulley ... blocked by about 1/4 thread turn.
Couldn't find a thread on this anywhere

post some pics,

I'm sorry, I don't have any as I have left the lake now. I guess the question is...
how do you remove a power steering pump from the bracket to replace it ( I was hoping I wouldnt have to disconnect hydraulic lines !! I just need to get it off the old broken bracket (snapped at the 2 base bolts) and attach it to a new one!

Ayuh,..... I donno's I've ever run across a 3.0l with p/s,........

I just did an older 5.7l, 'n had to do some wrench dancin' to get it apart, 'n back to together without pullin' the pulley,....

If yer a Tool collector, like Me, it's the perfect excuse to buy a p/s pulley puller/ installer kit,........

Thanks for the pully remover/installer suggestion. Is it hard? What are the chances I can wreck the power steering pump while doing my first attempt to remove a pulley?

Use the right tool and it's a simple ON/OFF job. Try doing it without the tool, good chance you'll pooch the bearings inside the pump.

Which bracket's broken and needs replacing, and which bolt are you having trouble with?

Bracket part 21 is cracked at the bottom.
Couldn't remove bolt #17 because it hits the back of the pulley as it comes out... barely!!! However, I also don't know whats going on with parts 20,19 and 17, as once the bolt is out, there seems to be some kind of brass sleeve (part 20?) that has to come out somehow. THis seems like it should be a simple job!

Anyone have direct instructions or link to pulley removal video OR better still, a video on power steering pump removal...?

#20 is just a spacer. It should just come off when the bolt comes out. Don't lose it.
