Life of Plug Wires?

How many years should spark plug wires last? I . Checked with ohm meter and they all passed. I did notice on wires a OEM tag with number and date of 2005. Possible they good after 14 years?

I've got some that have a couple of decades on yer's,...... 'ell, a few decades,.....

I replace 'em when I find physical damage, or don't ohm out right,.......

There is all kinds of folks saying wires need to be changed more often the a car "because", all kinds of comments. Never changed my 1995 Rinker and still doing just fine

I had a set of Sierra wires. Had to replace a spark plug boot year one and all of them year two. I am positive this is an anomaly - or at least I hope it is.

When the OEM wires start getting stiff, I toss them and put silicone leads in. Silicone leads should outlive you...

Plug wire normally outlast the boat.

So 14 years is ok if they check out, I have had plug wires over 50 years old that were good
