I just bought a boat, title says 1962 Sabercraft Beachcomber, I can not find any information any where online? I have came across Sabre Craft boats that have similar trim and looks. I have yet found any info on the one I bought. Any help identifying will be great! Thank you in advance. 26b984d8f37a7549a88ebcf108ffb0a2.jpg

If you haven't already been there, you can read about Sabre Craft here:
http://www.fiberglassics.com/library/index.php?title=Sabre_Craft

In that article it sounds like the parent company of Sabre Craft also owned Bell Boy Boats.
If you google Bell Boy Boats Beachcomber, you can find some information.

With so many boat makers that have come and gone over the years, it can be difficult to find information, especially about the ones that have closed up shop some time ago.

Good luck with your search.

Fiberglassics would be the place to ask, however their boat library seems to come up empty on your model. However it actually looks like a Debutante 18 Hardtop

The parent company of Sabre Craft bought Bell Boy assets in 1962, so it could be a Bell Boy hull, badged as a Sabre Craft Beachcomber, as neither BB or SC was actively using that model name in 1961 or 62.

Or at least none was listed for either at the Fiberglassics library pages..

Happened when companies merged....

Just like boats and cars now, some 2020s are built in 2019, others are started in 2019 and finished in 2020.

Some manufacturers didnt "register" a model year until a boat was sold, so a left over 1960, left unsold until 1962, wouldnt necessarily match any 1962s, because its really a 1960.....

Mmmm maybe in 1962 when Sabre Craft bought Bell Boy mine was made and someone put the Beachcomber badge on by mistake? I could have a rare sort of coin here, ha..

Where would I find Sabre Craft badge for both side?
an actual 'badge' or boat logo for Sabre Craft?

Under a leprechaun

Basically about as likely to win the lotto...

Get extremely lucky and find a junk Sabre Craft w good badges and buy the badges or the whole hull.....

Ebay, craigslist maybe, but I frequent both, and never seen any.

Not like vintage cars, so no part/pieces support after as little as 5yrs and your's is way past that......

Might find a good hi res image of 1 online and get 2 remade by a vinyl wrap company.

These guys have a reproduction vinyl logo:

keep in mind by 1962, about 60,000 boat companies came and went. as of today, that number is close to a quarter million.

companies are bought/sold/merged daily.

as JB stated, year of the boat is not always year of the manufacture. my 2002 SeaRay was a left-over 2001 Built 3rd quarter of 2001) titled as 2002 by SeaRay (switch-over year for hull). my current 1988 boat was made in September of 1987.

you may need to custom make badges.
