How big of an outboard motor do I need?

I had a bass trophy bayliner given to me that had been sitting outside for five years. I gutted everything. put a shelf for my batteries under front deck, put a lower deck with four seats. I’ll have the trolling motor on front upper deck but my question is how big of an outboard motor would be recommended to scoot 3-4 people around on smaller lakes?

read what max says on sticker and buy that:) but 150 sounds about right , my 17 only had max raiting of 115 and i hit 67 on water by myself

you gutted everything, however did you rebuild everything.

if the hull is re-built back to original, agreed, follow the original manufactures capacity tag

however if you have not restored the hull, we need to know what level of repair you did.
