350 cam questions

Very interesting to read this thread... my boat is a 19' Larson that was repowered with a 350 Mag in front of an Alpha One Gen 2. With a 4 blade prop, it will take off with an impressive holeshot (you can pop a skier right up out of the water!) and it will hit a top speed of about 50 mph (measured by GPS). With a 3 blade prop, I lose some holeshot, but the boat hits close to 57-58 mph at WOT. In fact, at top speeds, it starts to chine walk a bit, but a pair of SmartTabs solved that.

I'm very interested to see what your boat can do with the new motor. I bet it will fly!

My boat came with a stainless 4 blade prop behind the 305. I haven't bothered to look at the actual measurements for it. But I figure I'll run it for a bit initially and see how it goes. If I'm blowing through the 4800-5000rpm window with the new 350, I'll probably sell it and get something different. But going to at least see how it does for starters.
