1976 Evinrude 15 hp. Help.won’t run on boat.

Bought this motor from a guy in December. Took it to lake in March wouldn’t run WOT. Rebuilt carb, checked float, runs great in barrel. Took it out today won’t take off in gear? Just dies out. Any help or advice would be appreciated. I’m about to throw it in lake or take it to someone else. Thx

Best take it to a shop.----It would be better for your health I say.

Thx. I did talk to one local guy and he said to check the diaphragm in the fuel pump? Thx for looking out for my health. Lol
