DP-SM Trim Cylinder Rebuild

I'm looking for a trim cylinder rebuild kit for my 2003 Volvo Penta 3868912 DP-SM outdrive. I've called Five Star Marine and they told me they don't carry the rebuild kits for my outdrive. I can't find any other options online. The cost to outright replace the cylinders is outrageous when they just need new seals.

What are my options to source a rebuild kit for my trim cylinders? Appreciate any advice.

The product number 3868912 is for the drive. The trim cylinders are part of the transom assembly. Do you have the product number for the TSK (transom assembly)? or a serial number for the engine, drive or TSK?

Does the serial number 4202077060 help? The only other info on the metal badge on the outdrive is the Ratio, 1.78. Thanks!

yes it does. that serial number linked to the engine and TSK serial number and allowed me to look up your trim cylinders.

Not good news. The only internal cylinder parts available through Volvo is the oring that needs to be replaced when you unscrew the end cap. I see what you mean about price. $755.60!

It's possible that you might be able to take them to a large hydraulic repair shop. Or disassemble them yourself and match up the parts you need.

the model description for your TSK is SX-MHP

Thank you so much for your help muc I actually just discovered something that may be very lucky. I wiped everything down and it appears that the leak is coming from where one of the hydraulic lines attaches to the cylinder (see attached pic, the right/bottom line seems to be the culprit). It was fairly loose. I found the torque specs and tightened it down, but it is still leaking a bit. Maybe an o-ring will do the trick?

I'm having a hard time finding a part number though. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks again.

Just picked it up at the local boat mechanic ($1.20!), put it on and so far so good!

For some reason there were two o-rings installed, and one was mangled. Thanks for the help everyone; I really appreciate it.
