???------The shifting is not done with a cable at all.----Your motor only has a throttle cable.-----When there is no oil pressure ( motor stopped ) the clutch dog spring puts it in forward.----As I stated already , after one turn of the flywheel the motor is in neutral.----Shifting is done with a 12 volt signal to green for neutral.----12 volts to green and blue to get reverse.

Those are good motors. Pick up another one and you'll have parts for awhile. By generator are you referring to a Power Pack?

^^^????----I don't understand post #22.-----There is an amplifier ( battery powered ) ignition system on that motor.----I see no reference to a generator in previous posts.

Oh I see so that’s what it does is shifts it automatically vs others that have a shifting cable. Cool

There is a switch in the control box.----In neutral it supplies 12 volts to the green wire to get neutral after just 1 turn of the flywheel.----In reverse it applies 12 volts to green and blue together to get reverse.-----In forward there is no voltage to the shift system.----A strong spring quickly puts the clutch dog into the forward gear.
