Saw a boat before and after the poly glow treatment. It turned out nice. But a year later he wanted the boat painted instead. We gad a heck of a time getting that thing prepped properly for paint. But we didn't know of the product for removing it. I'd imagine it comes off a lot easier then. The stuff seemed to me a lot like floor wax for high traffic floors. I'm tempted to try floor wax on my ugly beater boat.

I think you're going to find it doesn't hold up to the sun real well. Tried it on an older 'glass motor home (1999), and though it looked pretty spectacular immediately after (for maybe 60 days?), I ended up not caring for it at all. It will flake off, build up, yellow, and eventually force you to strip it.

Commercial floor stripper will remove it - and many times remove/dull painted surfaces and vinyl stripes as part of the process. Maintenance nightmare.....

I have read good things about Wet Look on RVs. No yellowing for several years if reapplied (over last year's coating) annually.

Of course, I am contemplating how long I will keep the boat :noidea: Maybe a few more years, so it might become someone else's opportunity. :)

Not sure about any quick and easy approach to getting a shiny boat. But if you think about it, every new car rolling off the assembly line uses clear coats of catalyzed materials. And they seem to stand up pretty well to the constant UV sun rays. If I were wanting that shine, I would bit the bullet and use a catalysis clear top coat myself. I have used lots of PPG clear coat materials and not one of them peeled or faded....yet. That was decades ago now for some of them. And I have shot clear coats over lots of different types metals and all types of paints as well. However, I have not shot two part clear coats on gel coat. So I honestly can't say if it would work as well as every other situation I tried. JMHO
