Motor starts and will run. However after about 30 mins or more of running on the lake, I bring the boat to idle to fish and it will stall and I can't get it started again for at least two hours...here is a list of what I have done for this years maintenance..it needed all this because of use ...
Cleaned carbs - new gaskets
New Fuel filter
New fuel bulb
New plugs - 4
New Coils - 4
New Fuel - always empty it if it is going to sit for a little bit.
Gear oil changed
It is my once a year clean up and get out for the season. So nothing that I have not done before in years past. On top of that it only sat for about 2 months in a barn while we had winter other wise it was running fine before that but needed the coils and plugs and filter because they where getting old and coils were bubbling. Any ideas?

How long does it idle before stalling?

Have you checked for spark, when it is doing this?
When was the Water Pump Impeller replaced?
Does it do this at 20 minutes or 10 minutes of run time?
Has it ever quit while running at speed?

I can start it and shut it down after running about 5 mins and it will start back up. No I have not replaced the water pump impeller. I will look at that after done here. It only does it after running for a while. It does not happen at 10- 15 mins. After running fora while i slow down to idle is when it will stop running and then I can't get it started for a while. It has not quit while running on the water..only when down shifting to idle position.

Stator charge coils leaking?

That I would not know or what the test is for seeing if the stator coil is leaking. I tested all 4 plugs for spark and compression. which is all good and within speck.

My suggestion is only a quick visual test for a very common problem in motors of that vintage, Just hunker down and peer under the flywheel area. If you see any goo that has dripped down, it was a good guess. If they have dripped, that pretty much says that is your problem. On the other hand, even if not dripping, it is not a very scientific test.
