Mercruiser 3.0 140 HP Electronic Ignition or Not?

1986 SeaRay with Mercruiser 3.0 140 HP Alpha 1. Have no ideal when the points were last changed on this motor. Was wondering if I should switch over to electronic ignition while I am doing the project? Any opinions or recommendations are greatly welcomed from this community!!

Nothing wrong with points just requires more maintenance
If you go electronic I would suggest Delco EST

I still have mine from maybe 40 some years ago, hardly ever use it, but still works
