5.7 MPI Bravo 3 leaking into the bilge

long story short, I found out later after trying different things that the leak happens when I turn the steering wheel to the left only...I had sitting in the slip for days now with the steering turned to the right and it is bone dry even when I start it.
Any suggestion what that could be?

Only way I can see that happening is if the bellows has a crack on the right

It can only be that, no need to test
Look at the drive shaft coming out of gimbal bearing, should be there

You could get in the water and with helm to left start stretching the bellows, but if its weak (probably is) it could tear worst and then your going to need a good bilge pump

Then I think you are back to the transom assembly.

Playing the 'match game' a little bit . . . is is a matter of the steering to the left AND the engine running . . . OR is it just a matter of steering to the left?

I was able confirm that it is a matter of steering to the left only running or not.

However can you give me your thoughts on both scenario, what do you think it would be if it is a matter of the steering to left only and what do you think it would be if it was running and to the left.
