I got a 1967 Glasspar Citation from my uncle. The boat has been sitting down for a while. I tried to start the boat today after replacing the battery and the spark plugs but it did not start. I replace the fuel hose connected to the fuel tank since it was damage as well. I turned it on but it seems like fuel is not getting to the carburetor. Could this be that I have a bad fuel pump?

I would clean the carb. Have you tried pouring fuel directly into the carb and starting?

Hi Bondo and thanks, it is supposed to be a converted chevy 4 cylinder Nova motor. Should I just removed the sediment bowl and connect the fuel filter straight to the fuel pump?

Probably should be in the Mercruiser forum.as it engine related. Have you pulled a plug and turned it over to see if your getting spark? Does the engine have points, which could be pitted and not opening , or a converted Petronix system? If you turn it over with the fuel line that connects to the carb removed ,with a jar to collect the fuel ,is there fuel flow. Could be your neutral safety switch, could be a plugged jet in the carb. Need more info and you should eliminate parts that are working to figure out why it's not firing.
