Hi all. First post here. Hate to have it asking for help, but I hoping somebody has some input on these alarms.

I cannot seem to shake these three alarms SPN 697/698/699 They are all Aux PWMDriver code. Any clue how to get rid of them, or what's causing them?

Also I'm getting a persistent SPN 924 alarm. Shows on my TechMate Pro as Auxillary Output#1 INdmar Cam Phaser2. As far as I know, a cam phaser is present on a engine with variable valve timing. This old Chevy 5.0 doesn't have variable valve timing.

If I clear the codes, they immediately return and they all claim "open circuit.

Again, my apologies for this being my first post.

Does anybody have any information on PWM Driver faults? I have scoured the web and can only find diesel references off of random generators and such.

Any knowledge on Aux Output#1 Indmar Cam Phaser?

What is the FMI number with these codes?
Each fault will be SPN xx FMI xx

Tristandor, FMI's all read "5" which I believe is low voltage or open circuit. It doesn't really give me any other clues. Pretty frustrating. Maybe these codes have been there since day 1. I tried to clear them, and disconnected the battery, but they resurface when the engine is started. The TechMate will show 0 diagnostic trouble codes with the main power switch on, and the key in the on position.

I will add that I took the boat out yesterday and it ran flawlessly. No performance issues after a new throttle position module and a new crank position sensor. The boat had previously run terribly.

Thanks for the response regardless.

I couldn't find those faults in my manual, but do an advanced forum search for spn 697 on this site and you should find a post that references the three codes you have. Maybe that will be useful info for you.
Good luck

Thanks Trista. I have seen that post a number of times actually. It's one of the only posts on the entire web that references that same issue. I appreciate you checking your manuals for me!

are codes that deal with the gauge driver circuits. they are there because nothing is connected to those wires. they are normal and will always be there if you don't have analog gauges and i'm pretty sure your cobalt doesn't. ignore them.

you didn't post a serial number so i have no idea what your spn 924 is.

I have the same exact codes in a 2011 Cobalt 5.7. I know you changed those two sensors. One of them was taking down your 5v reference. Did the codes ever comeback after that? Thanks Scott
