Not a Starcraft Islander, its fiberglass. Islanders were aluminum....

Not at all familiar w 'glass SCs, no idea if its a 1975 based on ser#. Its possible, but by 1975, HINs were standard and that Ser# doesnt even translate to an early HIN so my guess is its a Ser# and the owner doesnt exactly know the difference.
Its also possible an early ownership transfer mistakenly used the Ser# as a HIN, if the Ser# appears on the paperwork as a HIN. Happens.....
In fact, several of my vintage tinnies were registered (by me) w Ser#s used as HINs and they are definitely non-conforming to the current HIN profile, nor the earlier HIN profile that came out in 1972.
