We have a 1987 Mako, new to us, first time owners. Took it out today and when we left dock there was a continuous beeping. We shut the boat off, turn ignition switch to on position, beeping continued

Checked oil reservoir - it was ok, checked fuel, lots and no sign of water in fuel, did basic wiring check saw nothing loose

Boat runs fine and is working well, but would like to identify beep.

i suspect the beeping may be related to ignition, but would appreciate input

Thank you

I would have to check my manual to confirm which one, but its either an over temp or a fuel restriction alarm.

When was the last time the water pump was changed? Needs to be done at least every other year on that motor.

If it's a fuel restriction, when was the last time the fuel filter(s) where changed?

Thanks, will look into that

Would any of these issues produce a warning buzzer when the key is turned on (cold engine) not running.....oil, fuel or overheating?
