Merc fuel pump discontinued??

Hello

trying to find fuel pump 861155-4 and having zero luck.

does anyone know if this part was replaced by another?

2004 Merc 5.7 TKS 2bbl carb

serial 0W301089

When i searched the fuel pump for that serial number--1998 and newer 5.7's--the part number i got was 861155A3.

That part seems available online or at iBoats' website.

its a $50 Carter/Airtex fuel pump with a $1 packard connector on the end of the wires sold as a $230 pump nearly everywhere

Numbers printed on or cast into a part are not the number that's used by the 'parts department'... You need to look at the part number in the parts manual to find the correct number.
