I own a 2008 34 foot crownline with twin mercruiser 350s that are the same year(2008). I noticed that after taking it out what seems to be water was dripping from from the engine behind the water pump pulley. I feel like a simple part replacement would work but I’m wondering if I would have to fully remove the boat from the water or if I could operate on it in the water? If I can service it in water I can’t seem to find the raw water intake valve ( if it has one?) some help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

The water going to the motor from the drive (Alpha) or raw water pump (Bravo, starboard side low and belt driven) connects at the thermostat housing. Remove that hose and don't let it fall into the bilge and you can take the circulating pump off with no worries

Wait a minute, do you have open or closed cooling?

Does it have 3 or 7 point drain system?

Salt water used? Closed cooling system? You may just have a circulating pump leaking. There should be a weep hole located on pump's shaft behind pully mount. If not closed cooled and salt water used, pray that is ONLY it. 12 years in salt water, iron do not play well. Good luck!
