Serial number and model number shows no I results

Hey guys,

I have an evinrude 28 SPL with model number E28ELCDC and serial number EO635321 and I can’t find anything on either. Any one knows why?

Are you sure that # is correct. A very similar # comes up as a 1986 model.

Yes sir it’s on the freeze plug as well. I’ve searched everywhere and maybe thought that there were a power head swap but the tag matches the freeze plug so that ruled out that theory. Maybe it was a Canadian model?

Are you sure about the suffix letter ?

E28ELCDS comes up in the parts catalogs

The trailing letter suffix indicates any mid-year changes that were made----IF---any mid year changes were made, Otherwise, it means nothing.

And no, it is not Canadian. It was built in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA.
