When running my motor near top RPM's the electrical breaker in the motor trips which kills power to the controller, Dash etc.
Engine runs fantastic but I am unsure what is causing the short when the motor is running at high speed.

Any idea of where to narrow my search for the short would be awesome!

Starter is now only pulling 8V, and will not start. I confirmed 12 V into the starter relay, but only 8V coming out.
Replace Starter and Relay, or just start with the Starter?

Start with ALL the connections throughout the ignition
system.
Change the solenoid rebuild the starter. Brush kit 10-15$
Make sure the armature shaft gets cleaned and lubed along
with the bushings.
The crud in the bottom(see pics) can drop the voltage a lot.

As Jerry said starter is crapping out; I’d start there. One thing at a time so there’s no confusion as to what the problem was and post back.

Jerry, Exactly my first thought. What could be causing the short while its running? I have had this happen three times. First time it reset with a breaker reset and I replaced a fuse. This time I cannot find a blown fuse. Then the Starter died the next day.

Also the breaker itself can be the problem???
Change it or replace with the same size fuse assy.
