After solving no spark issue with new power pack, plugs, optical sensor went on the water today, started right up idled out of no wake zone put it in gear, ran great 50+mph yeah!!!! Although I did noticed the tach zeroed out around 3500rpm.
Slowed down tach came back idled into no wake zone every great. Put it in gear motor bogged down, would not run above1200/1800 at all. Put into neutral, engine revs up fine, put back in gear just boggs down right away and will not accelerate at all...
Any and all help appreciated.

THANKS Chris1956 the boat idled and ran awesome,,,(just bought it)
Did loose rpm and tilt indicator gauges at about 40, came back when I slowed down...Is that indication the rectifier going out?
Also the boat chine walked at 50 I slowed down any thing I should be checking for cause and effect

That motor likely has a water cooled voltage rectifier. They are pretty reliable. I would check the wiring to the tachometer and other gauges for dirt and corrosion.

Chine walking is much more difficult to analyse. Hull could be pushed past design speed. Is boat HP higher than max rated? Is hull warped?

Trim could be too great. Other stuff as well.
