What are you showing with picture #8 ?---Looks like cylinders need to be bored.----But what size are the cylinders now ?--Looks like you have replace center bearing locating dowel.( fairly easy ) in my opinion.

Take that main bearing off for inspection of crank journal and bearing rollers.

Take that main bearing off for inspection of crank journal and bearing rollers.
I bought the motor for parts #4cylinder had low to no compression I took it apart and the ring was gone and made 1grove down the wall not real bad but in the video you can see a long 1”grove under the exhaust port maybe 30thousands ( I’m guessing) do you think it can be bored.pictures are all of #4 the other 3 cylinders. Ten thousands will clean up the main bearing outside race is broken I think whoever had it apart before didn’t get the dowel lined up and broke it looks like they tried to get the dowel with a center punch anyway the grove under the exhaust port is my biggest concern also am still trying to find some one with mikes to check cylinder bores will keep you all posted thanks for your help

Well-----They " break " the outer race when it is new !!-----That is just about the only way you can install that bearing.----Take the bearing off and inspect it .

YES i understand this one is broken in 3 places i suspect they broke it when they messed the locking dowel up , it does not stick up enough now to lock a bearing

Replace that pin.------Follow these elegantly simple steps.-----Drill a 1/8" diameter hole through center of the bad dowel.-----Fill the cavity with oil.-----Break the drill bit to use the shank as a piston.------Coat drill bit with thick grease.----Put drill bit in the drilled hole.----Tap drill bit with hammer.-----Oil pressure will push the old dowel out.-----Nothing to it.

Well ---They have been breaking connecting rods and main bearings since the early 1950's on Johnson / Evinrude outboards.-----Just a simple / proven / precision technique for making parts.----They have been doing this for 70 years and millions of parts !!!!
