2017 Lowe 214 -Mercury 115xr less than 120 hours - entire harnesses ground wire insulation burnt, we believe causing Mercury 115xr (guardian) to lose 2000 rpms, (6300 to 4000rpms) entire engine checks find engine good Can't find cause. Only added item was a on board battery charger plugs in to 110 shore every night. Replacing all 3 wiring harnesses but worried repeat burn out. Any thoughts please.

Doubt anyone can advise what might have caused it without seeing and putting hands on the wiring. The wiring burnt and most likely the insulation on the wires was a chafed and shorted. It didn't damage the motor computer (2017 assuming new motor)
