3hp jw-15 Johnson seahorse with no spark😞

Today I bought a jw-15 3 horse Johnson appears to have all brand new wiring and plugs, has plenty of compression just can’t get it to spark at all any info will be appreciated, thanks in advance!

Remove plate on top of flywheel allows you to inspect coils.----Or remove the flywheel.------Inspect magneto.-----Coils may be old and cracked.----Or breaker points may need cleaning and adjusted to 0.020"

I did the points, coils look good, the magneto look like it’s been ground down is that normal?

There should be no need to do any grinding on these parts.-----If coils look good and you did the points then there should be spark.----Often I see folks confused when working on this simple magneto.

I think I need a new magneto then because it looks like it was grinded down thank you

The motor is a 1959 model.----A complete evaluation should be done before spending money on parts.
