1989 40Hp mariner part finder.

Hey guys I have a 1989 mariner 40hp which I guess is actually a Yamaha Iv been told. I need to find a new power pack and switch. I can’t find part numbers or anything. Any help would be appreciated.

It’s a two cylinder. I should have the numbers tomorrow. The boat is at a local shop rn. Located 40 min from rockford Illinois.

Its not a 1989 year model.....either old Yammy or Merc

Mariner Model: 40E0, Code: 6E9 S, serial number 150252
Then hand written on the cover for the motor is “Model Number: 70403029U, Year: 89”

mechanic says I need a power pack and a switch and he can’t find them. Any help would be appreciated.

The motor is a Mariner 40hp twin model 40E0 6E9 S serial number 150252. Ive been told that it is actually a Yamaha. I was told that it is an 89. The 89 part diagrams are all 3 cylinders from what I could find. Im looking for a Power pack/cdi with the numbers 6E9-70, F8T13771, 9306. A trigger would be nice as well. I am unable to find a part with matching numbers. I would really appreciate the help. Thanks.

Here is link to look up parts. CDI pack is NLA from Mercury.. Make sure you test everything under flywheel as Yammy style packs rarely fail
