Timing a Volvo 5.7 gsi with tbi removed

Hello I was wondering if someone could help me with what the timing on a 5.7 gsi with the tbi removed and a dui Hei distributor installed should be at?...thanks

depending on fuel, anywhere between 8 degrees and 14 degrees.

8 degrees if you have crappy fuel and buy the cheep stuff (87 octane with 10% ethanol)
10 degrees if you have OK fuel and buy the stuff from the fuel dock (89 octane with 0% ethanol)
12 degrees if you have good fuel and buy 91 octane
14 degrees if you have great fuel and buy 93 octane

Errrr, E10 burns slower then Reg 87

Errrr, E10 burns slower then Reg 87

correct, however most E10 pumps have lots of water in them. adding water to the E10 causes lean sneezes and other issues and results in a crappy burn
