Scrape in Fiberglass Hull

I found some minor (I think) scrapes through my gel coat to the fiberglass hull. Am I good to just put a coat of marine-tex over that?

Yes----And a decal of say a fish or butterfly to hide any cosmetic / matching issue.

they were about 3/4 inch wide, and just deep enough to take off the gel coat, but the fiberglass did not look damaged. they were also towards the front of the hull.

I almost wonder if you'd have better luck with gelcoat paste. I think it would apply easier than MarineTex or PC11 or similar, and it also gives you the option to color match the patch (or at least get closer to the gel color).

I've used this stuff (below); it's easy to apply and looks pretty good.
