loss of spark after rebuild

i have a mariner 150 1989 that ran good lost compression in no 2 cylinder. i bought a new piston had it rebored and replaced it ,but now i have no spark, ive checked all i know, checked trigger ,tests o k, removed black yellow leds still have problem, tested stater with ohm test between blue and red lead and got nothing would this cause the motor not to start? and why all of a sudden would appreciate any ideas thank you for your time
