having some trouble with my boat. it's a 2013 larson lsr with a 4.3tks
boat is new to me last season, ran great last season, no issues at all.
this year started it up and ran ok on the muffler. had a slight hesitation at idle, a very mild stumble, chalked it up to last years gas. I replaced the fuel/water separator filter. ran it again on the the muffs. again a mild hesitation/stumble but stayed running and could rev it in neutral no problem.
took it out to the lake started right up again. I could hear the hissing of the tks like usual. let the engine warm up as per usual and when I tried to accelerate it bogged down and would not go. did not stall out but would not accelerate. put it back in neutral and revved it up no problem. back in gear and falls flat on its face. again won't stall out but barely moving. rpms not going above 1200-1500.
after approximately 5 minutes of working the throttle back and forth it just seemed to come alive and then was able to go full speed. slowed back down to an idle and then accelerated again no issue.
parked the boat, thinking all was good, must have just been some bad gas working through the carb? next day, exact same thing happened.
once warmed up seemed to be ok. stopped to swim for about 45 minutes and when I started it the same thing happened again.
also not sure if this is related but at wot my tach is only reading at 2500rpm. not sure if that's just the tach not reading properly? wot is approx 4800rpm. might be the tach itself?
