I just took the 2000 Wellcraft 210 sportsman that i just purchased. Out for a spin, after getting her back from the mechanic, with a lengthy look it all over bill. It`s a nice boat but getting her up to full throttle, Then the alarm went off, and sputtered down to a crawl and would not accelerate. It didn`t die and stayed at idol speed in forward gear. turn everything off checked all fluids, took a break, then stared up again, then full throttle the same result? water is shooting out the side of the motor as it should, all levels are full. Just wanted some idea`s of what to tell the mechanic??? the outboard is a Johnson 175 hp

I will add that to the list, to my mechanic. Because I have no idea with an outboard. He looked over everything to the tune of 2000. So we will see. I was told the water pump, I have bad gas. a sensor so he will figure it out.
