I read that wrong I didn’t check the pressure yet I couldn’t get a gauge yet
Well, that is a very important piece of information to troubleshoot your motor. I would get the test fitting, and a good fuel gauge

I noticed I never heard the fuel pump kick on with key on on position. It was pumping with engine running however.
Electric fuel pumps with carbureted motors in boats do not run when the key is turned on. They get power from 2 sources:

1) When the starter is cranking, there is a wire coming off the starter that power the pump. This is the primer circuit.

2) Once you have oil pressure the oil pressure switch powers the pump.

Wouldn’t surprise me I’ve ran into some sketchy stuff with this boat. It just seems like as soon as one problem is corrected another presents itself. I did do a voltage drop test and found a .96v drop on the positive side of the circuit. I had just went through all the negative terminations and cleaned and tightened. I guess I’ll follow the positive side of the run circuit and hopefully it’s just a loose connection.
