Please help.....I need to go FISHING!
Have 2005 200 HP E-tec E200DCXS0C.
Engine will trim down, but not up.
Have installed new trim relay and trim lever sensor.
I can get the engine to trim up and if I use jumper wires and cross the relay leads...plug disconnected - crossing green and blue wires and push the down button on switch.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated....the wait to get this into the local marine shop in Nanaimo is 1 1/2 months. Or if any locals know of a good marine mechanic please send me a message!

Sounds like a bad switch, wire or loose connection.

Put a meter across the switch(es) and see of they're operational

Update...
Replaced the relay and sending unit. No change! Found a good you tube video.....a guy had a similar problem. Turned out to be the trim sensor had gummed up and was stuck closed. The trim sensor is located on the main tilt shaft and prevents over trimming the engine and possible physical damage to engine hood or boat. Its a PITA to get at. Tried to clean it, it worked intermittently so I jumpered the switch (blue / white wires - plug was behind water filter). Works great....just be careful not to over tilt.
