No power to anything except trim

Took our new to us 1993 Maxum with 4.3lx merc out for our first time. Ran great for 10 mins. Slowed it right down to go to neutral and it cut out and nothing worked. No gauges, no blower only thing that worked was the trim. Any ideas we can check before taking it in?

Have you checked the circuit breaker?

Trim systems have their own circuit breakers so it would make sense that system would still work.

Turns out it was a multi prong plug (sorry if that's not technically correct) my husband looked at, unplugged and plugged back in and all works now.

I think they call it the cannon plug. Glad you didn't have to pay someone to find that.
