My 1961 Evinrude Sportwin 9.5hp won’t start, no spark, doesn’t seem to be getting gas either in the carburetor. Where should I start? Thank you for any help, Vannerjohn

They made / marketed the 9.5 from 1964 to 1973.----What is your model # for starters ?-----If coils are original they will be cracked and need replacing.---Pull flywheel to inspect.-----Needs a new water pump impeller before your first fishing trip.

Thank you sir, model 40777, next number down is 2217 G1 or 61 or 64 can’t read the numbers too well. Thank you, I thought it was a 64 but some one told me it was a 61 lol bottom number is 10110-09YG.This is my first resuscitation
I have to see how to change the water pump, impeller and coils, points I changed gear oil already

Your model number makes no sense at all.-----A 1961 model SPORTWIN would be a 10022 or 10023.----Post pictures of this motor to pinpoint what you have here !!----A 40777 could be for a 40 HP motor 1967 model.
