Electric boats are not for everyone
the new (way more than I can afford) all electric Torqeedo boat.......has a range of 30 miles before you need to re-charge.
The number one for sustainable outboards and inboards - Torqeedo offers electric outboard motors up to 100 kW, inboards, hybrid-systems, intelligent battery technology and accessories

my average boating trip is 65-80 miles because its 26 miles just to the ICW for me. that means I need to have 2 12 hours charging stops to boat?
even some of the upper-crust boats that can do 100 nautical miles are in the $330k range

since the average person puts less than 50 hours a year on a boat (typically under 20) if you assume 10 gallons per hour (way more than the typical usage) that is 200 gallons per year or at todays prices, just over $660 a year.
with a new 26 foot bow rider in the $80k range
the payback would be in 417 years (excluding the fact that the battery packs need to be replaced every 10 years or so)
until we get a mr fusion that runs on banana peels and stale miller lite.... electric vehicles are not viable. they are not green and they are not cost effective.
