I have a 2006 volvo penta 4.3l v6 gxi-f that was in a freeze and i replaced the cyl heads and exhaust manifolds. it ran perfect before this just was leaking water inside the boat (not in the oil). Now it wont start, i thought it was the distributor being miss aliened or off a tooth but ive tried it several ways and the only way it will kinda 1/2 way start is when i have the distributor lined up like i think it should be and have done before on a mercury. but when i connect the computer it has a code for the crank and cam not lining up. anybody had this before?

Update, Got the ignition system lined up and operating but for some reason now the injectors are not firing. i can put gas down the intake and it will run until that runs out, if I keep adding fuel it will keep running. it has good fuel pressure and i cleaned and flow tested all the injectors. I have power to the pink wire going to all the injectors but not getting signal from the ECM to injectors on the ground side. any input is appreciated. I will connect the computer for any codes or faults.

Nevermind, I see you posted good fuel pressure. Out of curiosity, what is the pressure?
It was 40-43 psi i think, i also put a fuel injector flusher to the fuel rail and tried to run it that way. about to put the computer back on it today.

if the ECM doesnt see oil pressure, it will try to shut the engine down.

So the only code i get now is a block pressure low code which i believe is water pressure, The injectors are getting voltage and if i manually operate them with the computer they spray fuel. they spray very very minimal fuel when the engine is trying to run or is running. good oil pressure and all the engine sensor values look correct. any ideas?

Your engine does monitor oil pressure, but won't try to shut it down. After sensing oil pressure below 5psi for 30 seconds the engine will go into power derate 2

Your engine doesn't monitor block (water) pressure.
There is a code that will show as "BP"
DTC 0129 - BP Low Pressure SPN-000108 FMI-1
This is barometric pressure.
Might want to check the MAP sensor.

Summery of my issues
1) Do not buy cheap amazon sensors they don't work
2) the crank and cam sensor not lining up was do to improper distributor placement
3# injectors having no fuel coming out was map sensor giving ECM incorrect values.

Engine is now fixed and running strong, thanks for all the guidance.
