NEW to this site. I have a 1996 5.0 fi Volvo Penta (302 ford)
On the VST... I am trying to figure out why the water passes throught the edge of the tank and not through the bottom if it is to cool the fuel down... why can you not return the fuel to the main fuel cell and the put the High Pressure pump in this area as in a Ford Vehicle ? the VST resevour is on the "INDANGERED LIST" for being discontinued.. as it stands it on BACKORDER for 2 weeks which really means 2 months.... is there an alternative to my problem... ( the sea water piping on the bottom of the VST are History ) I though of taping it out and installing Brass Pipe Nipples in place... I NEED HELP ! ! !
Thanks in advance.
Mikey.

Basicly the water inlet and outlet pipe on the bottom of the VST are decade to the point they are barely able to hold the hose on... I was checking out different possibilities to replace the VST with that would be easier to get parts for...Is the VST water cooled to bring the temperature of the High pressure fuel returned to the bowl down as well or am I crazy...
