I have a volvo penta 3.0 glp-e with a demon 2bl carb. I was having issues getting it to turn over and run so I put a rebuild kit in the carb. Now when I go to turn it over it is getting way too much fuel into the bowls.

Any ideas?

welcome aboard

demon doesnt make a 2 barrel carb, however there could be a 300 CFM holley 2300 on there.

if you are getting fuel in the thoat by simply cranking it over, you have the float set wrong, or you didnt trim the nipple from the accelerator mushroom and its holding the float

Thanks for the reply. They must have at some point cause the carb says demon to the side.

Anyway thank you again I will look at what you suggested.

Pist a pic. Most likely someone swapped your carb. Or made a Franken carb

Demon is made by Holley and some Parts will swap
they are now. however Barry Grant (founder of Demon) used to be a competitor, then BG Fuel systems went out of business after 26 years in February 2011, and the name was purchased by Holley back in July of 2011

also, there is no demon marine carb

doing some digging, there are race only 2-barrel demon carbs. basically a demon bowl on a revised holley 2300 center body in 350 and 500 CFM. however they are not a marine carb.
