I am looking for some feedback on mounting a Minne Kota MK 80 EM electric motor mounted to my outdrive on a larger boat ? I have a Pursuit 2460? Only need to troll up to 2mph.I know current and wind and motor speed is a factor but in general do I have a chance?

I think you’ll be disappointed with it, if you can even get one. I have an 80 pound minnkota terrova ( same power motor) I use it on a small Jon boat on electric only lakes. Never check speed but on that little boat I think on a flat calm day I’d be lucky to get 4 MPH out of it. On a big heavy boat 80 pounds ain’t gonna cut it.

Have you considered a drift sock or even dragging a five gallon bucket and trolling on your main motor to slow your speed?

Yes but no speed control
Huh,..??..??
I used to drag a 5' drift sock off each forward side, 'n could run at 1 mph at idle, 'n crack the throttle to get 1.5, or 2 mph, or whatever speed I needed to make my lures run right,.....
