Engine dies

Going down the lake, engine sounds great, out of blue engine dies, shift to neutral and engine starts, run good, and later dies again.

What kind of gas? Portable tank or onboard? Old? Any fuel filters?

Can be lots of things but could point to these things.

Few questions and answers might help you.-----Does fitting for tell tale hose come off the side of the block or off the top?----What are the actual compression test numbers?----Have you installed a new water pump impeller about every 5 years ?----Does spark jump a gap of 3/8" or more on each lead ?

When it does it try pumping the primer ball....if that keeps it running then points to fuel pump.

Otherwise, you need to address Racerone's questions.
