My grandpa gave me this outboard motor. Went and bought a pre assembled fuel line from Cabelas. When I prime the bulb I can hear it pressing air out at the fitting on the motor and it also squirts out fuel. Am I missing a gasket on the motor itself?

Often times it's a cheap fitting that comes on the fuel line or did you make sure it fits to a Evinrude?

I assume you pushed it all the way on until it clicked?

Yes, there is a seal in there.

It says for Evinrude and Johnson. Pushed it all the way to click. Am I missing a seal on the motor itself? Like a rectangular rubber seal that surrounds the 2 needles.

Top pin in pic is the latch pin to hold in place, bottom is fuel inlet, something in your pic doesnt look right.....Your fuel line plug is a cheapie, sorry but that is what many fuel lines come with nowadays. I always prefered the older cast metal ones which were rebuildable.

Any recommendation on replacing the fitting that attaches to the motor?

The fitting from the tank doesn't look new in the picture.

Anyhow, I've had problems with the aftermarket ones.

I agree.
If that pic is of a new part I would take it back.
It looks like it used to me.
