Someone had removed the VRO reservoir and made the engine premix before I purchased the boat. The VRO pump was a leaking mess, so I removed the VRO pump and replaced it with a conventional fuel pump (see image) She now runs great, and goes fast! But even though I pump the fuel bulb until it is hard, she won't start, UNLESS I spray a shot of starting fluid. Then she fires up and runs great and will run for hours. I had the electric primer, and pushing the key in would make her start easily. Any ideas, on how I can get her to start without the starting fluid?
Thank You!!
