Need Help Identifying a 6hp Johnson

I recently purchased a 6hp Johnson with a decent number of issues, but I can't determine what year it is so I can get some parts coming! The ID tag is missing from the transom bracket. The freeze plug reads "J3059797". I thought I had it narrowed down to a 79, but some of the water pump parts I was looking at don't look quite the same as my used parts. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Looks like a 69 or 70 to me

Decal was used in 1969.

A 1979 would be white.----A 1979 has electronic ignition.------These motors were essentially the same year after year.----Great fishing motors and easy to maintain.----Check ignition coils.-----Check thermostat.
