Great way to watch!

They'll be here in a couple of weeks. I'll be on the ramp all weekend.

yes, at the mouth. Annapolis. If ya' like planes n' boats....it was a good place to be.
Ya, reconciled the sailing center behind you
Used to go just every year before it became a "thing".
Kept the boat at a marina on Spa Creek. Anchored up in the shade of the Rt. 450 bridge.

It's just my second time so I'm a ways from burnout. I was attempting to get past the restricted area that ends just past the 450 bridge, but I was too late. I though it might be better than where I was...( and it might be)...dunno.
But this year I knew I wanted to be a lot more in the center, unlike last year because I didn't know. Turned out I was right under them more than once.
Angels and 'Birds...

Did the 'Birds ever fly the THUD? Or is that just a fun paint job? I've been around both teams my whole life. Even. worked the flight line with both. I've seen the Angels in all the aircraft since the Scooter, and the birds since they were flying the Phantoms.

That's a lot of work in those models.

They flew the F-105 "B" model. If memory serves without looking it up, they flew it for 9 months after replacing the F-100 "C" model. Then suffered a structural failure of a wing, and moved back into the F-100 "D" model.
Thanks, but unfortunately, the collection is now about 50-50 diecast and kit built. At one time all were kit built by me, but throw in a divorce and about half suffered irreparable damage.....no she didn't do it....or me..🫤 just stuff happens....
I like my collection though. Most are no longer available, model or diecast.

Sorry to hear all that. But it's still a cool lookin' collection.

That's neat about the 105! I didn't know that. Would have liked to see a year or two of them flying 15s - just because of the performance of the airplane. But probably wasn't even close to practical.

most people are unaware of the Blues flying the F7U.....and the "Beetle Bombs"...😳....and forget the F-11 Tiger.

Had to track through the history of Blue Angel aircraft a couple of years ago, so I knew those planes pretty well. Looked over the birds at the same time, so I thought I caught all of their models too. But I missed the Thunderchief.
