Wait, am I missing a build thread??
Not much building yet . . . more in the planning stages. The Admiral may not remember, but after we sold the house (and got well more than our asking price), she said "now you can get your outboards".

I will be working up a (big) budget for that project soon.

As I'm hunched over muttering to myself about how my knees and back and arthritic hands are killing me, I had an epiphany.

Now that I'm gonna be a grandpa anything 'safety' related cannot be counted towards budget as the grandkid being safe is priceless...

Suggestion on 'safety' definitions are welcome.

Off topic, ish. My wife got tired or hearing me say that over the years and then she found this Christmas book. Every year we set it on the table next to our nativity scene...

think i'm almost done buying stuff and since the spare motor has been reclassified from materials and tools as we all know do not count, i'm probably coming in under budget

Good news update

I'm after thinking thru some changes I was going to make I not now and returning about 100 bucks worth of stuff but the real update is....

My one year followup from the colon cancer surgery was refunded to me. Apparently it was considered part of the care from the initial last year. Sooooooo... wife agreed I can have half to the boat budget if needed.

That's a win in my book.

oh and while all tools are not chargeable to the boat budget i do have them in there as a buffer, however they are a definite hit to my cost to my handyman business......

If you don't have them already...the pop up/pull up cleats.

My admiral (and kids) have a habit of snagging clothing on the fixed (standard) ones.

that would be something like redoing the upholstery in the future. What I have now is working and if i postpone during this time period it becomes 'maintenance' or 'upgrade' at a future date so does not apply to this round.
