Random questions from a 2021 215LR owner.

Why do I have so much trouble filling an empty tank? The process takes forever and the fuel gets stuck in the fuel line. The line does not seem crimped.

The trim guage is almost worthless. Are they all this bad? Hard to read. Needle does not move hardly and then jumps up.

I like the boat. But I need help with the above. Thanks for your consideration.

Your questions are more general for many boats and not just Stingray.

Problems filling the tank is either a kink in the fill hose or most likely the vent line. The vent line is a smaller line which allows air to exit the tank as fuel is coming in. Check that line for a restriction

So far as the trim sensor many have issues. The sensor is on the starboard side of the gimbal ring and over time they corrode and need to be replaced

How long have you had the boat and has this always been an issue? If a new issue, check for something as simple as an insect (like a mud-dauber) nest in the vent or vent line...happens frequently, actually. Alldodge speaks the truth insofar as the trim sending unit/gauge goes...this is another very common "problem" that requires periodic service.

It's been an issue since the boat was new. I can't see any kinks in the lines. It's now in the shop. The whole trim issue on I/O's is a disgrace. The analogue gauge is semi- worthless. Had same issue with a Regal and a Volvo I/O.This also being looked at. Appreciate your wisdom.
